About the Role
A permanent opportunity has arisen within the Transformation team for an HR Advisor (Projects and Transformation).

The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work on a range of transformation projects with stakeholders across the university. The Transformation team are key to assisting the university with organisation changes, cultural transformation and process/systems improvements.

This is an ideal opportunity for an individual who is interested in gaining an insight, knowledge and first step experience into transformation. This opportunity will provide the successful applicant with:

  • An exposure to transformation and learning about different types of change that occur within an organisation.
  • An opportunity to learn about the university’s procedures, policies and statutory legislation related to different types of change.
  • An opportunity to develop your HR advisory skills and provide advice to wide range of stakeholders in relation to change and transformation.
  • An opportunity to work with colleagues from across the university (those leading change as well as those impacted by a change).

About You
The successful candidate will be able to meet the following essential criteria:

  • You will be educated to degree level, with a CIPD qualification or have gained the equivalent professional experience.
  • You will have experience providing HR generalist advice and supporting managers in relation to straightforward employee relations casework.
  • You will have demonstratable experience in managing relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • You will have experience of/or the ability to undertake and manage straight forward projects with guidance.
  • You will be familiar with working with HR staff database systems and providing basic reports.
  • You will have a working knowledge of employment law and equalities related legislation.
  • You will be proficient in the use of the Microsoft packages including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • You will be experienced at setting up and maintaining electronic administrative systems.
  • You will possess effective written, verbal communication skills and have proficient interpersonal skills, including, influencing, diplomacy and persuasion.
  • You will be able to organise and prioritise your own work.
  • You will be able to problem solve and use own initiative.
  • You will be pro-active, resilient and have a flexible approach to your work.
  • You will be able to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as independently.

The HR Directorate sits within the Professional Services Area and therefore is part of the group that enable and facilitate the success of our students and academics.
