Salary: UH5 £28,381 pa to £31,637 pa by annual increments on achieving designated skills and experience

Annual Leave: 25 days (pro rata if part time) plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year

Location: College Lane Campus, Hatfield 

The Primary Science Quality Mark (PSQM) is enabling a world of possibilities for all children. The PSQM professional development programme enables primary school leaders to transform the lives and future trajectory of children by developing their scientific literacy, equipping them with a deeper understanding of science and its importance in everyday life. 

Main duties and responsibilities

The role is responsible for the co-ordination and administrative support for the Primary Science Quality Mark short course programme and projects. The post holder will co-ordinate marketing and recruitment for the programme, working with both internal and external stakeholders to raise the profile of PSQM. The role holder will work closely with the Head of Programme Delivery and the PSQM Project Officer(s) to provide a strong customer-facing service to both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the experience of PSQM is positive.

Working closely with the Project Officer(s), the role holder will provide administrative support for the PSQM programme, coordinate project developments and support with data management and reporting. This includes working with the University systems and the project specific systems, such as the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). As part of a small team, the role holder will be involved in all aspects of the programme and will support other members of the team during business critical periods. The post holder will be required to ensure accurate completion of Lifelong Learning and Employment related administration in full compliance with legal and University requirements.

Skills and experience required

This role requires a high level of initiative and the ability to work independently, as well as sound personal judgement in handling confidential and sensitive material. The ability to co-ordinate administrative process within a complex and dynamic project is essential. The post holder will require a good level of customer care and communication skills.

A forward-thinking, can-do attitude is essential, alongside a strong team ethic and the ability to work under pressure and towards strict deadlines. Flexibility and the ability to effectively work within a small team to deliver a quality service are essential. 

Qualifications required

A minimum of A-levels, or equivalent qualification, or proven professional work experience. A degree, or equivalent qualification, or proven professional work experience is desirable.
