Are you enthused by concepts and theories in innovation studies? Are you passionate about how firms manage innovation processes, and different knowledge sources for innovation strategies? 

Birkbeck, University of London, is seeking an Associate Lecturer to contribute to a vibrant undergraduate module at Birkbeck Business School.

As Associate Lecturer you will support the module:

Knowledge Management 
• Teaching for 13.5 hours, 
• Wednesdays 6-7.30pm, 30 April - 25 June 2025.

This module combines the latest conceptual thinking on organisation studies, innovation and knowledge management in order to discuss how knowledge is produced and shared in organisations, how companies build competitive advantage from knowledge, and how companies can design organisational structures and processes that promote knowledge creation and sharing.

To be successful as Associate Lecturer, you will:

  • Have knowledge of management and organisational learning, innovation and digitalisation
  • Be qualified to the corresponding level of the award as required to teach (or demonstrate equivalent professional/industry level experience)
  • Be an excellent and innovative teacher with a track record of student engagement and want to contribute to an impactful and transformational educational experience.

Remuneration:

Payment is based on an hourly rate depending on length of continuous service with the College (starting rate £68.13 per hour inclusive of pro-rata London Allowance and holiday pay) for contact hours worked. This hourly rate is based on the starting point of Grade 7 and is inclusive of a ‘Duties Related to Teaching Multiplier’ at 2.5, which covers preparation, teaching, administration, assessment marking and other examining duties in connection with the course.

Contract
