The role
Campus Division manages and operates the UK’s 11th largest Higher Education estate, supporting 30,000 staff and students across 340+ buildings and extensive outdoor spaces. Our team of 900 skilled professionals—including tradespeople, engineers, and administrators—ensures our campus runs smoothly and efficiently.
The Campus Health, Safety, and Quality Assurance Team provides expert guidance to help the division comply with University policies, industry standards, and UK health and safety laws. We collaborate closely with the University's central Safety and Health Services and other departments to maintain a consistent and high-quality approach to safety and compliance.
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead the development, implementation, and management of quality assurance (QA) systems across the Campus Division. This role is key in ensuring our ISO 9001 Quality Management System meets the highest standards while driving continuous improvement in compliance, safety, and operational excellence.
What will you be doing?
As the first point of contact for all quality assurance matters within Campus Division, you will work closely with senior management, stakeholders and contractors to establish and embed best practices and enhance our QA framework. You will represent the Health, Safety & Quality Assurance (HSQA) Team in key meetings and forums, shaping policies and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
The role will include:
Championing a culture of quality and safety, embedding robust processes that enhance efficiency and compliance.
You should apply if
You have proven experience in developing and maintaining quality management systems, including conducting risk assessments and internal audits. Expert knowledge of quality systems, particularly in estate management and ISO 9001, is essential. You should also have a track record of implementing procedures and delivering staff training on quality assurance processes, ensuring a high standard of compliance across a complex operational environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive professional to make a lasting impact on one of the UK’s largest higher education estates. If you're passionate about quality assurance and continuous improvement, we’d love to hear from you.
