Background
With a rich history spanning over 125 years, City St George’s Students’ Union’ is the primary organisation representing every City St George’s student. That makes the Students’ Union the representative body for over 27,000 members.
With five Full-Time Student Officers, a team of permanent staff and the involvement of student volunteers. The Students’ Union delivers a range of services and support for its members, from independent academic advice to supporting our Programme Reps to enhance their course, to promoting the employability and development of students through our Communities Team.
Responsibilities
City St George’s Students’ Union is seeking a Design and Web Coordinator to be a member of our Communications and Brand Team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the development and delivery of a coherent narrative for the organisation, supporting our communications channels, and ensuring the Union is represented effectively through its visual and verbal identity.
The job holder will engage members through innovative communication strategies and designs across all platforms, both in-person, whilst being the lead staff member for the Union website.
Person Specification
We are looking for applicants who have a range of communications experience including designing, delivering & managing effective communications campaigns and activity across a range of media (including press, social, digital & traditional platforms), experiences in web design and the ability to establish strong working relationships with a wide range of individuals both within and outside the Students’ Union, to include the University, students, staff, clients and agencies.

The selection process will involve an interview and an exercise/presentation. Further details will be confirmed at the interview stage.
The success candidate will be expected to attend campus a least four times a week during term time. There is greater flexibility outside of term time.
