The role
The post of Lecturer in Public Health Policy will contribute to extending the research profile of public health at Exeter, particularly in evaluation and evidence synthesis.
Based in the Department of Public Health and Sport Sciences, this exciting career development post will contribute to a rapidly developing programme of work in evaluation and evidence synthesis relevant to public health policy. As an expert in evaluation and evidence synthesis and track record in quantitative methods, you will work across the School for Public Health Environments Research at Exeter (SPHERE), which is the University of Exeter’s membership in the NIHR School for Public Health Research; the NIHR-funded Exeter-Cardiff-Birmingham Public Health Review Team; and the Peninsula Technology Assessment Group, which provides high-impact health policy advice to the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to Isca Evidence, a cross-department evidence synthesis unit providing policy advice to health system stakeholders, as well as a high-profile programme of public health evaluation both in the UK and globally. In addition, you will contribute to and lead teaching in our highly successful Master of Public Health programme, which is offered both on-campus and online.
