The role
The Engineering and Direct Works department is responsible for a significant proportion of the technical management and maintenance of the University’s Estate. The dedicated in house maintenance team provides in and out of hours planned and reactive maintenance to what is effectively Devon’s tenth largest, and independently run, town.
Reporting to the Structural Team Leader, you will be a member of the operational team working alongside other maintenance operatives in the Electrical, Mechanical, Building & Structural Services.
We are looking for a customer focused team player who can work alone, or in a team and be able to use initiative to prioritise work demands and meet deadlines. Having prior experience or qualifications in Structural works and recent proven practical experience in property maintenance works or small works.
