Currently, we have an opportunity for a part time University Tutor to join us and support with teaching requirements for a period of 24 months.
The Role:
As University Tutor, you will have the opportunity to join our Animal & Plant Sciences subject group and take responsibility for delivering teaching and student-centred learning, underpinned by academic scholarship and professional practice within your assigned areas of responsibility.
You will be in an excellent position to bring your disciplinary expertise to our thriving teaching and research culture, in turn contributing to our current undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
This will include contributions to teaching from levels 1-4 across the Animal & Plant Sciences subject group, as well as potentially some contributions to our Masters course in Wildlife Biology and Conservation.
As a multidisciplinary school with an excellent record in applied research and teaching, we will support you to go beyond traditional boundaries, working with others internally, across the wider university, and externally to foster an inter-professional, collaborative approach to educational delivery from the outset.
Further to this, you will find yourself making a profound and positive impact on the experience of our students as you use your initiative, creativity and judgement in applying appropriate approaches to teaching and learning support and scholarly activities.
The role offers a flexible working pattern (hours can be spread over the week) and provides an excellent entry opportunity for an early academic.

We will look for demonstrable evidence of a background in ecology and data analysis as well as familiarity with R.
