About the role:
We are currently seeking an Exam Access Arrangement Administrator to join our Examinations department at The Bedford College group.
As an Exam Access Arrangement Administrator, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
- Working in conjunction with Additional Learning Support teams across the Bedford College Group to ensure all eligible students have their Examination Access Arrangements (EAA) approved and recorded
- Gaining approval for EAA from Awarding Organisations
- Recording approved EAA and communicating to students
- Conducting general office duties
- Effectively communicating with the Additional Learning Support Team and Awarding Organisations to ensure Examination Access Arrangements are accurately approved in a timely way.
- Being knowledgeable of current approval procedures and regulations for all Awarding Bodies and following those procedures to gain approval where required.
- Liaising with the Exams Team to prioritise approval of EAA for upcoming exams.
- Being familiar with any prohibited access arrangements for qualifications.
- Being knowledgeable of arrangements that do not require external approval and ensure they are recorded accurately on the student record.
- Accurately recording approved Examination Access Arrangements in a timely way
- Communicating approved Exam Access Arrangements to students.
- Identifying learners with an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) and liaising with the Additional Learning Support Teams to ensure all Exam Access Arrangements are approved where required
- Being responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and for raising any concerns in line with college policies and procedures.
- Being responsible for promoting equality and diversity in line with college procedures.
- Being responsible for following health and safety requirements in line with college policy and procedures
- Participating proactively in training and development including qualification development required in the job role.
About you:
- Maths and English A*-C or L2 equivalent
- Minimum of 5 GCSE A*-C
- Experience of entering data on to computerised databases
- Experience of working with confidential documentation and information
- Experience of taking responsibility for projects
- Good IT skills including the ability to manipulate data using Microsoft Excel and the use of Microsoft Word
- Proven ability to work as a team.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills through working experience
- Willingness to have some flexibility with working hours to accommodate occasional early starts - always by prior arrangement
- Willingness to continuously update skills and knowledge and take responsibility for own professional development
