About the role
This is a new post created at the School of Archaeology to provide expert administrative support for the for the Degree Courses Team, based in the Institute of Archaeology on Beaumont Street in Oxford. The postholder will also provide first line support across the operations of the building which have a large overlap with student support. From supporting teaching activity, lecture and AV set up, events and reception work to providing guidance around the degree programmes offered by the School, this is a wide-ranging role, ideal for someone wanting to learn how to support a department at Oxford University.
About You
You will have the ability to organise your own workload and work to deadlines, with some experience of managing administrative processes in reception or customer facing roles. You will have the skills to deal with confidential information appropriately and have a willingness to resolve situations, as well as an awareness of when to refer decisions to other team members. The role also requires excellent attention to detail and a high level of computer literacy with experience of using the Microsoft Office suite. The ability to interpret, apply, and communicate regulations and procedures is an important aspect of the role.
