Are you ready to be part of a dynamic team at the forefront of innovation in employment tax processes? We are thrilled to announce a major upgrade to our University Payment System (UPS) and the employment status for tax determination (FD3) process and how we engage suppliers who are providing personal services to the University. This transformation will revolutionise how we review service suppliers and determine employment tax status for all engagements, including individuals, sole traders, intermediaries, and agencies. With this change, our annual reviews will soar by over 1,500, reaching approximately 3,500.
If you are detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to grow your career in employment tax, we encourage you to apply and become a vital part of our team!
If successful, you will be required to undertake professional tax training and examinations, to ATT-level.
The Role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day review of employment status requests, setting up suppliers on the University's Finance System, as well as responding to the straightforward queries from departments.
You will also undertake the administration of employment status reviews of individual/sole traders and those coming via intermediaries or agencies, issue and extend Tax Clearance Numbers (TCNs) as well as update supplier records within the supplier (APEX) database and the new Ind-E-Pay system.
You will be required to undertake general team administration including running and/or obtaining reports from the Employment Status database and finance systems to help proactively manage risks.
What we are looking for
Specialist training will be provided.
