About us
UCL Careers provides careers education to current students, graduates and staff of UCL, as well as recruitment solutions for employers.
The UCL School of Management is home to UCL’s business and management research and education programmes, and has a reputation for world-leading research and teaching.
About the role
In this job you'll be responsible for organising and delivering a programme of employer activities and events to support postgraduate students seeking roles in Finance, FinTech or Accountancy. This includes students studying specialist programmes like MSc Finance, MSc Management (Finance pathway), and the new programmes MSc Finance with Data Science and MSc Strategic Accounting and Finance, which are launching in September 2025.
Your work will maximise access to potential employers and UCL alumni for our students, and improve their ability to build up professional networks, improve soft/technical skills and business acumen, and demonstrate professional skills more effectively to potential employers. You will form strong working relationships with colleagues in the SoM Careers Team, UCL Careers, and the wider team of SoM academics and professional services staff.
About you
UCL School of Management’s students are a highly international and diverse student body. As our Employer Engagement Officer, you will be working with students looking to pursue careers in Finance, FinTech, and Accountancy, so it is highly desirable that you have experience in one or more of these sectors, OR an interest in and practical understanding of these areas gained from a similar role in another University or business school.
You'll certainly need experience in building and maintaining customer/stakeholder relationships with a range of clients. You should have the interpersonal skills to not only proactively develop effective working relationships with stakeholders, but also to influence the direction and content of sessions delivered by external speakers in order to ensure the highest quality output.
Interviews will be in person at our Canary Wharf offices on Wednesday 4th June.
Please review the job description and ensure the essential and other relevant criteria are covered in your application.
