About the role
The Project Manager will report directly to the Principal Investigator (PI), Dr Angela Aristidou, and will address all the needs of a growing research lab across three countries (UK, USA and Canada). The post holder will be responsible for the management for all matters relating to the lab and for the MRC grant funded project ‘Innovating Across Sectors’. This will include monitoring expenditure; providing financial information and reports; arranging reimbursement of expenditure; processing financial transactions and procurement; facilitating grant reporting duties and assisting grant-affiliated staff with further funding applications. Other duties will include website content management, diary management, arranging meetings, event management, and liaising with a wide variety of people associated with the lab and its projects. This post has funding for up to 36 months in the first instance.
About you
The ideal candidate will be educated to A Level (Minimum of 2 at grade C or above), or equivalent, or having acquired relevant skills in Finance or Accountancy and excellent analytical skills including ability to research, analyse and interpret financial information and determine appropriate action. Post holder will be able to demonstrate proven consistent ability to meet tight individual and organisational deadlines, and to manage own workload through effective prioritising, time management and organisational skills.
