Cherwell College Oxford is a pre-university tutorial college dedicated to providing quality education and support to students pursuing their academic goals. Located in the heart of Oxford we offer a vibrant and inclusive learning environment for our GCSE and A-Level students.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person looking for a career in education to act as an Academic Administrator to support the operations of the College’s academic department located in Oxford city centre. A successful candidate would be the first point of contact for any academic related matters, assisting with planning schedules, timetabling tutorials, managing correspondence with tutors, students and their parents. Participating in academic meetings, drafting memos and meeting notes, ensuring efficient running of the day-to-day work of the academic department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Academic Team by timetabling tutorials, group sessions, science practicals, scheduling appointments, and academic meetings, filing, researching files and records, and preparing correspondence, reports, and other documents as requested.
  • Co-ordinate and forward general academic and welfare queries submitted by parents/guardians and agencies.
  • Assist by answering questions and providing information, locating desired information and materials, typing, collating, or otherwise assisting in test preparation.
  • Assist in collecting monthly academic reports from tutors and sending out monthly, half-termly and termly academic reports to parents/guardians and/or educational agents.
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments, processing paperwork, and data entry, and monitoring teaching hours.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations. 

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in education setting is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic office equipment.
  • Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
