Company Description
This is an exciting time to join an organisation with an essential role in the UK’s tertiary education sector.
We are a world-leading quality agency with unmatched experience of providing impartial regulatory and collaborative quality assurance and enhancement. We support universities and colleges in working with students and learners, governments, funders and regulatory bodies to evidence and enhance the excellent quality and high standards of the education they provide.
We work towards a greater public understanding - domestically and internationally - of how excellent quality is demonstrated in UK education, and how autonomous providers both assure its delivery and address weaknesses. Our work safeguards the value of qualifications for students and learners, and protects and promotes the reputation of education.
Position
About the role
The Quality Assurance Specialist role is key in supporting the successful implementation of Scotland’s new Tertiary Quality Enhancement Framework. The role sits within the Scotland team and supports the delivery of programmes of activity linked to quality assurance in Scotland, particularly the delivery of the external peer review method, Tertiary Quality Enhancement Review (TQER), support for Scotland’s Concerns Scheme and engagement with tertiary institutions (colleges and universities) as part of institutional liaison.
The role also supports and participates in the development and delivery of a range of assurance activities for our Scottish tertiary institutions. This will involve analysis of review outcomes, regular reporting and the provision of specific, high-level expertise and knowledge to stakeholders in quality assurance, enhancement and academic standards. You will also use this knowledge to inform the design and delivery of resources and the coordination of networking events, workshops, and webinars. You will be engaged in supporting and leading projects as well as supporting activities being led by others.
