About the role
We are advertising for a 6-month research assistant role to work within the Department of Biology and with the Leverhulme Centre for Nature Recovery. The role would form part of the ‘Earth Tracker’ initiative – a proposed project to track and prioritise country level actions to deliver nature recovery. The research assistant role would help the team to compile and assess available data sources relevant to tracking nature recovery, conduct analyses to identify national targets and levels of progress, as well as leading on expert elicitation exercises to assess future country-level priorities for nature recovery.
About you
The successful candidate will require specialist knowledge in biodiversity conservation policies, and frameworks/approaches for assessing and monitoring progress towards national and/or global conservation goals. They should also have experience working independently on research projects, and proven experience working with external stakeholders in the conservation and sustainability field.
