My Home Life England is a high-profile exciting initiative that supports quality of life in care services through research, professional development and community engagement.

This is a rare opportunity to join our small dynamic team to really make a difference to the lives of care leaders and those that they support. The post-holder will lead on overseeing the growth of our bespoke and proven development programmes across England, including design, delivery, marketing and communications activities, responding to tenders and presenting My Home Life at a national level in meetings and conferences. There are opportunities here to be creative, to engage with research and to have real influence across health and social care.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will oversee the development and implementation of a detailed business plan that delivers income and improvements to those receiving care and those who support them.

The postholder will present at national conferences to share key insights from our work and from our research. They will establish and maintain a network of potential commissioners, funders and others who may wish to commission our programmes. The postholder will respond to tenders and other opportunities for income generation and line manager up to 5 posts within the team.

The postholder will promote the MHLE values and working with the 4 conceptual frameworks which underpin the My Home Life movement. (Developing best practice, Focusing on relationships, Being appreciative, and Having caring conversations).

Person Specification

Amongst other things, the successful candidate will have significant social care experience and knowledge, including an understanding of commissioning structures that influence social care delivery. Experience in developing relationships with national and local stakeholders and a track record of business development and bid writing are all desirable.

This post is Minimum 0.8 FTE (28 hours per week) with option of full-time 1.0 FTE (35 hours per week).

The ability to work flexibly, outside of core hours and travel extensively will be required.

A hybrid working arrangement will not detract from any comprehensive induction, that will include relevant on-site activities.

Regardless of where colleagues are working, City St George’s, University of London’s premises will be their primary and contractual place of work.
