Background
The Widening Participation Outreach Team supports young people in making realistic, well-informed decisions about their future. Working with target schools and colleges across London the team aim to empower underrepresented learners to access and succeed in higher education.
Responsibilities
The post holder will plan, deliver, monitor and evaluate a range of activities for students from year 9-13 aimed at breaking down barriers to higher education. The post will have responsibility for City’s Uni Tasters programme and a range of other widening participation activities
Person Specification
An understanding and up to date knowledge of the widening participation agenda, barriers to entering HE and knowledge of child protection and safeguarding issues is essential. The post holder will have experience of working with young people in a school or youth work setting including planning and delivering projects with an ability to manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
