The opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Careers and Employability team for a hard-working and committed Student Employment Coordinator to administer and maintain our Creative Opportunities bulletin website.
Creative Opportunities is the online job and placement vacancy and opportunities bulletin, which sits within the Careers and Employability service.
As a Student Employment Coordinator, you will act as the first point of contact for Creative Opportunities, responding to questions, requests and feedback from employers, students, volunteers and graduates.
In addition to your customer service responsibilities, you will maintain and develop the Creative Opportunities content management system, including databases, employer contacts, vacancy registration and records and system templates, as well as check and resolve system bugs and problems as they arise.
You will also market Creative Opportunities to new employers, students and graduates, as well as promote our paid services such as featured posts and our bespoke recruitment service.
About you
We are looking for an individual with a basic understanding of issues related to student and graduate careers, who possesses experience with Microsoft Excel and databases, and experience of managing WordPress websites (or similar).
You will be able to provide routine oral and written information in a clear and concise manner and can understand and explain technical terms used in recruitment and education effectively. You will also be able to maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of services available in your own and related areas of work.
Along with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, you will be capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with students and customers, providing a first-class experience that meets the needs of all our service users.
