We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Head of Academic Quality to join us at this exciting time of growth. You will lead and manage the processes that ensure the maintenance of academic standards across all regulated provision, including higher education, degree apprenticeships, and professional education. This is an exciting role for someone with a proven track record in quality assurance, academic governance, and regulatory compliance, with the ability to inspire and lead a team to success. 

What you’ll do:

As the Head of Academic Quality, you will:

  • Lead and manage a high-performing team, ensuring alignment with the Strategic Plan and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee academic governance and ensure effective operation of committees and student representation.
  • Drive continuous improvement of internal quality assurance processes, policies, and compliance.
  • Represent LIBF externally, building strong relationships with regulators and key stakeholders.
  • Lead high-quality student complaints and appeals services, ensuring timely resolutions and compliance with best practices. 

What we’re looking for: 

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Extensive experience in academic quality assurance and governance within higher education, with expertise in regulated provision (OfS, DfE, Ofqual).
  • Strong leadership capabilities, including team management, resource allocation, and driving performance reviews.
  • A deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance, with the ability to develop and implement policies to uphold high academic standards.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, capable of engaging with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive and forward-thinking approach, with a commitment to continuous professional development and staying up to date with sector trends.
