About the Role
The School of Physical and Chemical Sciences are looking to appoint a Finance Office who will be responsible for all financial processes within the School. They will manage the School’s complex financial environment, contributing to financial activity and analysis for teaching, research and planning across the School ensuring that all QMUL finance policies are adhered to.
The role is a maternity cover, and we would welcome applicants looking to take on a secondment opportunity.
About You
The role holder will have experience of working in financial administration, including management analysis and reporting. They will have a good understanding of financial and accounting regulations. They will be familiar with an accounting system, ideally Agresso.
They will be able to work with a range of stakeholders across the institution; and have an ability to work with minimum supervision, prioritising own workload effectively.
About the School
The School consists of the Departments of Physics and Astronomy, and Chemistry. It is one of five schools in the Faculty of Science and Engineering. The School is a dynamic environment, home to over 530 undergraduate students, 70 postgraduate taught students, and 130 teaching and research staff. Our research is highly collaborative, working with colleagues across all three faculties and supported by partnerships with industry, NHS, and other stakeholders.
