Are you an organised and motivated professional with a passion for research administration? Saïd Business School is looking for a committed and approachable individual to join our Research Office, providing crucial administrative support to our research community.
As a Research Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of research administration within the School. This role focuses on post-award administration and research ethics, providing essential support for faculty, researchers and staff. You will work closely with colleagues in other departments and across the University to facilitate effective research operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Coordinating and managing the School’s research ethics approval process, including liaising with applicants and the Departmental Research Ethics Committee (DREC).
- Acting as secretary to the DREC and representing the School at divisional ethics meetings.
- Providing post-award administrative support, ensuring compliance with funder requirements.
- Supporting research project management, including financial oversight and reporting.
- Reporting on research ethics, funding and strategic projects.
You will have strong numerical and financial skills, including proficiency in spreadsheets. You must possess excellent IT capabilities and the ability to manage various digital systems for communication, data management and proposal tracking. Attention to detail is crucial, with competence in drafting, proofing and formatting documents. Strong organisational skills, the ability to work independently and effective workload management are also essential.
