An experienced, friendly, reliable and motivated person with excellent customer service and retail skills is required to join a small team in the Visitor Centre, located in the beautiful meadows of Christ Church.
The Assistant Manager will play a key role in all aspects of managing the shop, choosing and purchasing merchandise, managing and scheduling shop staff and offering general support to the Shop Manager. You will be a hands-on team player who enjoys working as part of a team and striving to get the best out of everyone and creating a happy, successful team. You will support and work closely with the Shop Manager to maximise the performance of the shop, supporting with all shop operations from stock to recruitment. When the Shop Manager isn’t around, you will take the lead and be responsible for all aspects of the shop management.
This is a permanent, full time position (40 hours per week), working five days out of seven. This will include working Saturdays with two consecutive days off in the week. The salary is University Scale Grade 5 £28,759 - £33,966 (current rates).
