The Nuffield Department of Women's & Reproductive Health (NDWRH) have an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Artificial Intelligence to join Oxford Digital Health Labs.
The aim of this project is to substantially advance pregnancy care globally. A key part of the role will focus on developing state-of-the-art AI approaches for identifying high-risk pregnancies using biosignal and clinical data. This is a great opportunity for the post holder to develop and apply AI to tackle critical questions in maternal-fetal medicine, which can be directly applied to clinical practice.
Within the department, you will proactively take a lead role in shaping our engagement with collaborators and be passionate about actively engaging with the public and patients in order to build a comprehensive personal profile to enhance future employability.
The post holder will be responsible for developing AI methods and have the ability to learn and implement best practices for collaborating effectively with internal staff and external stakeholders to achieve research goals. The successful candidate will be able to present their research outcomes to a range of stakeholder groups, including public and patient groups and at scientific conferences.
The suitable candidate will hold a Doctorate (or equivalent) with a significant computational and/or statistical element, have a strong scientific publication record relative to their career stage, and show experience in scientific programming and in time series analysis/modelling.The post-holder will be self-motivated, an excellent communicator and have the ability to organise their work efficiently.
The post is offered on a full-time, fixed-term basis.
