We are looking for an able and committed researcher to conduct research within Public International Law, with expertise in land boundary delimitation and demarcation, as well as maritime boundary delimitation. You will contribute to the overall research performance of the School and University, carrying out high-quality research that will support the development of the second edition of a Research Book on International Boundary Delimitation and Demarcation under a funded project. This will include developing databases of primary and secondary sources, supporting the production and dissemination of project output, and assisting with the organisation of workshops/meetings comprising different academic and non-academic stakeholders. You should also have excellent analytical, communication and IT skills. You will also be expected to organise your own time and work, to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities. 

You will be expected to pursue excellence in research and to inspire others to do the same. Relevant practice experience in Public International Law, especially regarding land and maritime boundary delimitation would be desirable. You will be expected to also play an active role in the Cardiff University School of Law & Politics Centre for International Law and Multilateralism (CILM).  

This post is full-time (35 hours per week) and fixed term for 12 months, with the appointment to commence on the 1 January 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter.
