About you
We are seeking an exceptional candidate with a proven track record in all aspects of utility management and energy procurement. You will have a solution focussed approach to provide advice, guidance, and support within this area to stakeholders across the university. You will have experience in utility forecasting, budgeting, and delivering energy efficiency measures for a complex organisation. You will conduct yourself in a professional manner, building effective relationships with stakeholders to encourage positive change.
About the role
An exciting opportunity has risen to join the growing Carbon Net Zero Team and help shape the sustainability performance of a world-class institution. The team is based within the Estates and Campus Facilities Division which has responsibility for looking after the university buildings and infrastructure.
The Carbon Net Zero Team are a major contributor to delivering on the University’s commitment to be net zero carbon for scope 1 and 2 by 2030. This role will be pivotal in helping the university reduce its carbon emissions. The main purpose of the role is the monitoring, analysing and reducing the University’s energy consumption and utility expenditure. You will also assist the Net Zero Programme Manager in the development and delivery of programmes, projects and policies that make a major contribution to achieving the University’s net zero target. There will be the need to work closely and build effective relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
