Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences research is led by internationally renowned scientists, many of whom are practising GPs and primary care clinicians or public health physicians, together with academics from a range of other disciplines, including behavioural and social sciences, and humanities. Our research covers the broad range of issues that you might expect to address in the community, including cardiovascular and metabolic disease, cancer, infectious diseases and childhood illnesses, obesity, poor diet and smoking.

The NDPCHS Clinical Trials Unit offers a friendly and supportive team working environment. We are currently recruiting for a Senior Quality Assurance Manager.

Integrated within a busy, multidisciplinary UKCRC registered clinical trials unit, the successful applicant will work closely with the Head of Operations, and with other functions within the unit such as trial management, data, IT and statistics. This role will take overall responsibility of all the quality assurance (QA) activities within the Primary Care Clinical Trials Unit (PC-CTU). Based in the Primary Care Clinical Trials Unit, you will help to ensure best practice, identify risks and mitigation strategies, enhance local Standard Operating Procedures, interpret regulatory and audit requirements and provide local advice, training and support for researchers and trial teams.

You will hold a first degree in a relevant subject, or have equivalent experience. You will have clinical research experience, which includes protocol development and implementation, as well as detailed knowledge and experience of conducting, managing, auditing or monitoring in a GCP environment. You will have strong computer literacy skills, be able to work well in a team, in a busy environment, have the ability to effectively prioritise tasks and work well under pressure.

You will be based in the Gibson Building, Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, Radcliffe Primary Care Building, Woodstock Road, Oxford, OX2 6GG, as your normal place of work, although hybrid working is possible.

This post is full time, although part time working with a minimum of 0.8FTE can be considered. The position is fixed-term and funded until 31 August 2026 in the first instance.
