Faculty / Directorate
Home to four specialist schools: Leicester School of Allied Health Sciences, Applied Social Sciences, Nursing and Midwifery, and the Leicester School of Pharmacy, the Faculty educates and develops professionals who make a significant difference to lives, health, wellbeing, communities and society. The Leicester School of Pharmacy has three UG programmes, including the highly regarded MPharm.
Teaching reflects the latest developments in the sector and many courses have professional accreditations. A range of work experience and volunteering opportunities enable students to develop the skills required by graduate employers. Recent graduates have secured roles with leading employers such as AstraZeneca, the Ministry of Defence and the NHS.
Role
The Leicester School of Pharmacy has an excellent reputation for the delivery of both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The School has just gone through a successful GPhC reaccreditation against the new initial education and training standards and invites applications from highly-motivated individuals to teach in pharmacy practice and provide academic leadership. You will be expected to make a full contribution to teaching at undergraduate level. You will join an enthusiastic team working in modern teaching and research facilities.
Ideal Candidate
The role is part time (2 days a week). You should have a degree in pharmacy, be registered with the GPhC and have teaching experience, although that may not be in higher education specifically. We place high value on contributions to academic citizenship activity in the School. For full details about this post, please view the job description and person specification.
