Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice

Description of Post

Working closely with other staff in the Department of Pharmacy, the successful candidates’ role will be to:

• deliver teaching, learning and assessment within the discipline of Pharmacy Practice on the MPharm programme, including management of ePortfolios, supervision of projects, conduct of OSCEs and the pharmacy statutory Professional Registration Exam,
• contribute to the development and delivery of teaching, learning and assessment of other programmes within the Department of Pharmacy and wider Faculty, including supervising postgraduate research and the development of new learning provisions;
• collaborate effectively with other staff of the Department of Pharmacy and wider Faculty of Science and Health in championing the development of new programmes;
• engage in relevant research, which will expand the research expertise and activity in the wider Faculty of Science and Health.

The postholder will be expected to enhance the discipline area of pharmacy at ATU, providing expertise in a manner which engages with the student body and ensures that the students understand the relevance and application of their core learning.

Essential Qualifications

• An MPharm Degree at Level as specified in the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ), or equivalent pharmacy qualification.
• Three years relevant post-qualification experience.
