Worcester College seeks to appoint an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead on all aspects of HR at the College. The post holder will provide HR services for academic and professional staff matters whilst ensuring a consistent and efficient approach to people management across the College, supporting line managers and staff with generalist HR advice. They will lead on HR strategy, policy and people development which contributes to and supports the delivery of the College’s core activities and key strategic ambitions. The position offers an exciting opportunity to combine strategic and operational HR responsibilities.
The post holder will report to the Finance and Estates Bursar with a “dotted line” to the Senior Tutor for academic staff matters and will work closely with other senior members of the Bursary leadership team. The HR team includes an HR Adviser and an HR Officer so previous experience of leading and motivating a team is essential.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a senior HR role, with up-to-date knowledge of employment law and ACAS codes of practice, together with CIPD qualification and membership. They will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, have a collaborative approach with the ability to work autonomously, and exercise good judgement and discretion.
