Faculty / Directorate
The Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Media (CEM) is home to a diverse range of courses across three specialist schools, The School of Computer Science and Informatics, School of Engineering and Sustainable Development, and the Leicester Media School.
Our courses are taught by experienced academics in professional facilities equipped with cutting-edge technology equipping students with the skills and specialist knowledge to solve real-world problems. The CEM Professional Services team includes administrative and technical staff who provide support to all staff and students in the faculty.
Role
As a member of the Faculty Office programmes administration team, the post holder will provide administrative support to a large number and wide variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes within the Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Media, with a specific focus on Quality Assurance (QA).
This is a student-focussed role and the post holder can expect to have a large amount of direct contact with students. The post holder will also work closely with the Associate Dean Academic and other academic colleagues in the faculty.
Ideal Candidate
Educated to A-level or equivalent, you will also possess excellent IT skills and be familiar with the use of large databases, spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications and web-based applications. You should have significant experience in a customer-facing office environment and you should have experience of working as part of a team and under your own initiative. Work experience gained within further or higher education would be a definite advantage.
You should also be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and possess the ability to prioritise your workload whilst working to tight deadlines. Experience working with SAP is highly desirable but not essential.
