An exciting opportunity has arisen for Administrative Assistants to join Student Services.
The Administrative Assistants will work as part of the Professional Services Team (PST) and provide administrative support in Student Services (STS).
PST support the work of over 70 advisers, tutors, therapists, and senior managers in Student Services and is the essential logistical support for all processes and activities of STS.
The roles provide a high quality administrative support across all areas of the Service, enabling Advisers and other senior staff to deliver the vital services to students and ensuring an excellent provision continues to be delivered.
Duties will include responding to email enquiries from students, University staff, external enquirers, and organisations. Provision of administrative support to support internal processes in Student Services that underlie the support offered to students e.g., appointment booking, online referral processing, creation and maintenance of trackers and forms, dealing with appointment queries, ordering of support for students with disabilities, finance ordering for the department.
These roles are normally non-student facing but may require some interaction with students on arrival for appointments.
You must have five passes at GCSE at Grade 4 or above, including Mathematics and English (or equivalent qualification or relevant experience in a comparable role).
Recent experience of working in an administrative role in a busy office environment and excellent customer relations via email and online systems are essential.
These posts are both full-time and part-time (0.5 FTE) and are available on a fixed term basis as detailed in the Candidate Brochure. You will be required to work on-site for a minimum of 60% of your contracted hours.
