About the role

Imagine yourself at the heart of the University of Sussex Business School’s Communications Team, where your creativity and strategic thinking will shape our digital presence. As a Content Officer, you’ll be the go-to expert for crafting compelling content that engages a diverse audience, from prospective students to industry partners.

You’ll collaborate closely with our Business School Marcomms group, central University comms teams and key stakeholders, ensuring our web content is engaging and search engine friendly. You’ll make sure our web pages work in tandem with high-quality digital and social media campaigns. Your role will involve writing captivating news articles, blogs, and feature stories, as well as designing eye-catching webpage content.

In this dynamic environment, you’ll manage multiple projects, proactively identifying and developing stories that resonate globally with our Business School audiences. Your insights will help us stay ahead of digital engagement trends, and your work will directly contribute to enhancing our brand and online presence.

About you

Are you a creative and proactive digital content enthusiast ready to make a significant impact? We are seeking someone with a passion for storytelling and a knack for creating engaging digital content.

Your experience in web content management, HTML and SEO is complemented by your ability to write captivating copy for diverse audiences. With a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of brand identity and values, you are committed to maintaining high standards across all digital platforms. Tools like Google Analytics are second nature to you, and you use them to keep our content competitive and engaging.

You have a talent for spotting potential stories and developing them into compelling content that resonates with our audience.

Communication is your strength. You build rapport quickly and communicate clearly with team members, managers, and stakeholders. Your interpersonal skills enable you to work flexibly within a small team and independently, always with a proactve approach to problem-solving.

Your organisational skills are top-notch, allowing you to juggle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines with ease – without compromising on quality.
