About the role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Manager to play a key leadership role in a 4-year, £4-million NIHR-funded Global Health Policy and Systems Research award: IMPACT: Innovations using Mhealth for People with dementiA and Co-morbidiTies. This role involves working closely with multidisciplinary, international teams to ensure smooth operations, timely reporting, and effective communication. You will oversee project milestones, manage budgets, support funding efforts, and engage with stakeholders to maximize the project's impact.
What you would be doing:
You will be responsible, alongside an equivalent position in Peru, and under the direct supervision of the PIs, Dr Chris Butler and Dr Sofia Cuba, for coordinating the smooth running of the IMPACT project and overseeing operational strategy. You will play a leadership role within Work Package 5 (Project management, Engagement with stakeholders, Communications and Outreach) wherein you will manage ethical and governance approvals, study amendments, provide administrative and logistical support to the UK partners, manage a risk management strategy, oversee research milestones and budgets, write reports for donor agencies, and ensure effective communication across work packages, research institutions and countries.

This is a fixed-term, part-time post to provide maternity cover until 15th October 2025 based at White City Campus. To allow time for handover, we are seeking a start date of 15th October 2024. The part-time hours are 0.5FTE but are not fixed; your schedule can be agreed with your line manager. There may be occasional meetings outside of usual UK office hours to accommodate a global team.
