About the role:

What you would be doing:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager. 

Imperial College Academic Health Sciences Centre (AHSC) is a strategic partnership between Imperial College London, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, Cheslea & Westminster NHS Foundation Trust Foundation Trust, The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust and the Institute of Cancer Research and whose common purpose is to strategically align research and education activities, in order to deliver better patient care and improved patient and population health outcomes. 

As one of the AHSC Project Managers, you  will:

  • lead, manage and deliver multiple AHSC projects, many of which are focussed on developing new translational research programmes, within the partner organisations in support of Government health priorities and the local North West London Integrated Care System.
  • drive forward cross-organisational ambitions using influence, personal drive and excellent project management skills, working with a wide variety of stakeholders internal and external to the AHSC.
  • work with the AHSC Director and the Director of External Partnerships in developing, planning and implementing the AHSC Forward Plan including management of the work programme of constituent Committees and bespoke Task & Finish Groups.
  • provide project management support overseeing the planning, implementation and tracking of a variety of projects ensuring successful outcomes are achieved, and
  • broker and establish effective working relationships with staff across the AHSC including university research staff, educators, clinicians and senior managers in the NHS partner organisations.

What we are looking for:

You should have experience of facilitating and overseeing multi-stakeholder initiatives and experience of successful project delivery in a research or healthcare context. 

Good understanding of the NHS and/or University research environments is essential along with an understanding of the  national research and innovation ecosystem and its ambitions and initiatives to improve patient outcomes and population health.

Further Information

The AHSC Project Manager will be part of a small AHSC Directorate team and nested within the Faculty of Medicine
