About the Role
Applications are invited for the post of Faculty Office Administration Manager and Executive Assistant in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. This role provides high-level administrative support to the Faculty Office including direct executive support to the Faculty Director of Operations and effective delivery of daily key administrative and planning processes that flow through, and from, the Faculty Office, fostering a strong customer service and collaborative working approach within the team.
Key responsibilities will include general office management and managing arrangements for Faculty-level committees and strategic events, ensuring they are well-serviced and successfully delivered. The post holder will work closely with the Faculty Operations and Projects Manager to support various areas such as governance, planning, project management, HR, finance, partnerships, and health and safety.
The successful candidate will have strong communication and organisational skills and will develop relationships with a variety of external and internal academic staff, professional services staff and other stakeholders, building good relationships internally and acting as one of the main administrative points of contact for the Faculty.
About You
Candidates should have experience of working in an operational or management role in Higher Education or a similar environment, with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Experience of diary management at an executive level, servicing high-level committees and events and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion is also essential.
