Role Overview:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic academic member to join our teaching team. The ideal candidate will deliver online group lessons, private tutorials, and mark assignments on our postgraduate courses. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a flexible, remote-working environment and has a passion for both the creative and academic aspects of film and game music and sound.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and informative group lessons and private tutorials to postgraduate students.
• Mark assignments with a focus on both creative output and academic rigour.
• Provide academic support and guidance on topics including media composition, game sound design, and audio post-production.
• Contribute to the academic development of the curriculum, ensuring it stays current and comprehensive.

Ideal Candidate:

• Currently holds at least a master’s, and preferably has or is working towards a PhD in a related field.
• Extensive knowledge of film or game, music or sound design.
• Ability to balance creative instruction with academic support.
• Familiarity with the academic material surrounding media composition, game sound design, or audio post-production.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire students in a remote learning environment.
