Birkbeck, University of London, is looking for an experienced Student Funding Administrator who is keen to develop their skills in Student Financial Support.

In this role, you will be working with the Student Funding Administration team to deliver a range of bursary and scholarship programmes which provide essential support to our diverse University student body.

As Student Funding Administrator, you role will be:

  • Dealing with large data sets, assessing documents and calculating financial support entitlement
  • Working with the team to check and process data received from the Student Loans Company
  • Submitting attendance and registration confirmations, as well as Change of Circumstance notifications.

As our Student Funding Administrator, you will need:

  • Experience in working with SITS, and the HEP portal is desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience using Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

This role will also provide crucial support to our US Federal Aid administrator in the processing of US Federal Loans. As such we would welcome applications from anyone with experience, or an interest in gaining experience in this area. We will provide you with appropriate training, so this role would be ideal for an administrator looking to broaden their skillset in Student Funding. We look forward to hearing from you.

Remuneration

£29,392 rising to £32,962 per annum. The salary is Grade 4 on the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the London area.

Terms and Conditions

Open-ended, permanent, full-time contract (35 hours a week (1.0 FTE)). Hybrid working with no more than 1 day on site a week although specific tasks may need office attendance.
