Do you have a passion for film & theatre? Can you help create the next generation of contemporary film makers and performers? If this sounds like you an exciting opportunity now exists for an experienced technician on the Media technical team at Norwich University of the Arts.

We are looking for someone with experience of a range of professional film production equipment and processes including cameras, lenses, lighting rigging and set construction.

Most of your time will be spent supporting the technical learning and teaching of students studying in our Film and Performing Arts Programme. There will also be exciting opportunities to support students from other disciplines as they explore the creative possibilities that exist in this field.

The post is based in the Sir John Hurt Film Studio where you will play an active part in our students’ technical skills development. You will support academic and senior technician led sessions as well as student led rehearsal and production periods

You will need to be a highly skilled individual ideally with previous technical experience from a production background and be able to demonstrate knowledge and working abilities across lighting, sound and AV to students studying in our Film and Performing Arts Programme.

We’re looking for a great communicator with excellent problem-solving skills who can support their academic journey as they explore their ideas and build their technical skills.
