About the role
The provision of an effective and efficient technical service within the University for staff and students. Working in the dissecting room with human cadaveric material to help support undergraduate, postgraduate programmes, surgical courses and anatomical research, in licensed premises under the HTA, under the direction of management.
About you
You will have good communication skills to be able to discuss laboratory requirements with other team members in order to deliver high standard teaching in the department. You will be a positive and supportive member of the small anatomy team as well as being able to liaise and work with staff across the whole of the university to deliver the teaching.
You are also required to deal with internal and external contacts to deliver services that positively impact the university. You will have excellent organisation skills, with the ability to manage your own time and prioritising task over others depending on urgency and be able to resolve problems to ensure teaching standards are met at all times.
You will be able to adequately check temperatures and formaldehyde levels in the department and record them appropriately. You will have an understanding of working in a laboratory and be able to lift and move heavy objects safely, adhere to safety guidelines and be responsible for wearing appropriate PPE for task undertaken.
