About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Executive Officer to join our group to provide high quality administrative support to Prof Ploeg and Prof Hunter, as well as support the Quality in Organ Donation (QUOD) biobank team and Transplant Research Group.
You will be based in the Oxford Transplant Centre, Churchill Hospital as your normal place of work.
The Executive Officer will provide general administrative support and will organise various meetings and document their outcomes in minutes and action logs. You will be liaising with the departmental admin team regarding orders, invoices and other departmental procedures and will be a point of contact for various regional teams and act upon their queries. In addition, you will provide diary management and travel arrangements to Prof Ploeg and Prof Hunter. You will also support the QUOD communications team with committee coordination, maintenance of the QUOD website and social media management.
About you
You will have previous PA and administrative experience, along with excellent communication and computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, website and other office applications. You will be required to work independently yet collaboratively and be able to respond flexibly to the demands of this interesting and varied post. You will have previous experience of organising events and minute taking.
The successful candidate will possess a positive and proactive attitude. He/she will also have developed excellent interpersonal skills and have a friendly and confident telephone manner. Previous experience of working in a university, hospital or research environment or knowledge of medical and scientific terms would be advantageous.
This full-time post is available immediately and is fixed-term for 5 years in the first instance.
