The Role
As an experienced researcher, we’re looking for you to make a significant contribution to the ‘Crime and Criminal Justice as Social Determinants of Health in Scotland’ project. The project aims to identify actions to reduce the negative impacts of justice on health and increase opportunities to improve health and wellbeing in Scotland’s disadvantaged communities.

You’ll be responsible for managing various aspects of the project, including ethical approval, liaison with partners, contributing to/developing proposals to secure future research funding and organising events.
You’ll get expand your research network, collaborating with experienced researchers in the wider project team (Strathclyde, Glasgow, and Edinburgh Napier) and contribute to conference presentations and joint publications.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced researcher looking to develop their career. Throughout the role, you will be provided with mentoring, training, and development opportunities.
Please note: this role offers hybrid working where you will be expected to work both on site at our Sighthill Campus in Edinburgh and remotely. Travel (within Scotland) will also be expected for fieldwork, project meetings, events, and conferences.
For an informal discussion about the role, please reach out to Katrina Morrison, Lecturer in Criminology at k.morrison@napier.ac.uk. Due to annual leave, Katrina will be available for discussions w/c 29 July.
