Due to recent research success, we are currently seeking a 9 month FT Lecturer to support teaching, research and honours project supervision in the social science and criminology team in the School of Applied Sciences at Edinburgh Napier University. We are open to considering this position as 0.75 for 1 year. This person will be required to teach across our undergraduate suite, but particularly on the following modules: 4th year undergraduate victimology, 2nd year undergraduate criminological theory and MSc Current Topics in Crime on our MSc in Applied Criminology and Forensic Psychology. The person will ideally be required to start by early September 2024 or as close to this date as possible.

The role
We are looking to appoint one Lecturer fixed term (1 FTE for 9 months or 0.75 for a year) from early September 2024. As a Lecturer in Criminology you will join our vibrant social sciences team. You will make a significant contribution to research; be responsible for developing, designing and delivering teaching and student centred learning underpinned by academic scholarship and professional practice with your assigned areas of responsibility. These will likely include: leading two undergraduate criminology modules and a module on the MSc Applied Criminology and Forensic Psychology, contribute to the teaching to some additional modules on our BA in Criminology and BSc in Policing and Criminology, as well as provide supervision to Honours projects and MSc student theses.
