About the Role
For informal enquiries, please contact Steve Clark (Zone Manager - Non-Res) at S.Clark.4@warwick.ac.uk.
Based in one of our Zone teams, this is a varied role that will enable you to get involved across the trade specialisms in a truly multiskilled role. You’ll provide reactive and planned maintenance support to buildings in your zone, including statutory testing and basic repairs to electrical and mechanical systems and building fabric. The role involves carrying out the important tasks around campus that always need doing, (mainly high-volume, repetitive, lower-skilled tasks) which help provide an outstanding customer service experience to everyone who uses our buildings. You’ll assist the Maintenance Technicians and specialist trades teams with their work too, so a great opportunity to learn and progress in your trade(s) specialism if you wish. You’ll help transport materials and equipment and meet contractors
Being a large campus that operates all day every day of the year, you’ll need to be available to work weekends when required (approx. 5 weekends a year). However, you’ll only ever be required to work 5 days in 7.
We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis, even where a position is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why it is not possible to do so.
About You
You’ll have previous practical experience of building maintenance works in a varied environment and City & Guilds NVQ Level II in a relevant subject.
For further information regarding the skills required for this role please see the personal specification section of the attached job description.
CLOSING DATE: Tuesday 06 August 2024 at 11.55 pm
