You will be employed to deliver and report on a range of lithium-ion battery manufacturing projects in collaboration with industry and academic partners working predominately in the lab with a strong focus on battery slurry mixing optimisation, electrode coating and slurry/electrode characterisation including scale-up to pouch/cylindrical cell format. There will also be a significant opportunity to help develop new capabilities around novel electrode manufacturing and cell assembly.
We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis, even where a position is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why it is not possible to do so.
About You
The ideal candidate should possess a good honours degree in a relevant subject, such as chemistry, materials science or engineering.as well as a good understanding battery slurry formulation, electrode manufacturing and cell scale-up projects. The successful candidate will also have experience in experimental design, data analysis and interpretation. This role within the research team will work closely with the academic investigator and other members of the team (research fellow, engineers), to design and carry out experiments, and will analyse, collate, and share data with the wider team.
