Investigating the metabolic consequences of Ras/Mapk inhibition during ageing in Drosophila.

KEYWORDS:  Drosophila, genetics, ageing, cell signalling.

A Research Fellow position is available to work on a project investigating how inhibition of the Ras/Mapk signalling pathway impacts on metabolism during ageing using the fruit-fly, Drosophila melanogaster, as a model system. The project is highly interdisciplinary combining metabolomics analysis of ageing flies with genetic and pharmacological manipulations of organismal physiology.

About the research group

You will join the research group of Dr Cathy Slack in the School of Life Sciences at Warwick University. We are a diverse group of interdisciplinary scientists who study the molecular and cellular mechanisms that drive organismal ageing using Drosophila as a model system.
