An excellent opportunity to join the teaching team on the Certificate of Higher Education, Foundation Year and BA programmes as Associate Lecturer at Birkbeck, University of London.
Your role will be to deliver teaching to Birkbeck students, in order to enable them to complete their studies successfully and undertake all related course administrative duties as required. Your main responsibility will be preparation, teaching, administration and assessment of the Understanding Applied Cognitive Psychology module, which is a Level 4 module offered as part of our Certificate of Higher Education, Accelerated Foundation Year and BA programmes.
The module offers an introduction to cognitive psychology, and the major elements of cognition (attention, perception and memory) that will serve as the foundation for more detailed exploration of these topic later in their degree.
The module is delivered on Monday afternoons, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm, and Thursday Evenings 6:30 pm- 8:30 pm (Please indicate preference on your application or during interview) for 11 weeks from October 2024 to December 2024.

Remuneration
Starting rate £66.70 per hour, inclusive of pro-rata London Allowance and holiday pay for contact hours worked.
Payment is based on an hourly rate depending on length of service. The hourly rate is Grade 7 and is inclusive of a ‘Duties Related to Teaching Multiplier’ which covers preparation, teaching, administration, assessment marking and other examining duties in connection with the course.
