About the role
The postholder will be responsible for providing the full range of professional PA, administrative and organisational support to Professor Mariya Moosajee.
This role will require an individual with outstanding communication and organisational skills who can actively engage and enhance the functioning of the research group. They will need to understand the research projects and be able to liaise with the team to compile research reports and support with grant administration. They should be able to work under pressure with the minimum of supervision. Tact and discretion are essential.
The post is available for 3 years in the first instance.
This is a part-time role at 0.5FTE (18.25hrs per week). Flexible working arrangements are available.
About you
The PA will be responsible for providing the efficient and timely professional PA services to Prof Mariya Moosajee. The post holder is required to improve and maintain systems to maximise efficiency, anticipating administrative needs and ensuring that all work is produced to a high standard and meets specified deadlines. The PA will be working closely with the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology (IoO) administrative teams including HR, finance and lab managers.
Job description cannot be exhaustive and so the post holder will carry out any other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by the Prof Moosajee.
