Construction Multi Skills Technician

Gower College Swansea is one of the largest colleges in Wales with a strong reputation for high quality teaching and learning. We have six campuses across the city with over 4,500 full time learners and 10,000 part time learners. We currently have a turnover of over £50 million making us a major employer in the region with approximately 1,000 staff.

The role:

• Full-time (37 hours per week)
• Permanent 
• £23,404 - £23,903 per annum
• Jubilee Court campus 

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the delivery team to plan, produce and prepare materials needed practical sessions in the workshop
• Monitor material usage levels and informing the Learning Area Manager of any order requirements
• Track and monitor tool usage within the department and informing the Learning Area Manager of any order requirements or servicing of machines

About you:

• Level 2 or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject or willingness to work towards
• Experience within the construction industry
• Use of IT - able to use spreadsheets or willing to be trained
• Prepared to work flexibly between a variety of satellite sites

The successful candidate must go through First Responder training and undertake the duties. Upon completion of training, you will receive an additional £50 per month.
