Job Summary
The Department of Metabolism, Digestion & Reproduction and Department of Brain Sciences are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to fill the role of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Coordinator.
As the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the work of undergraduate and postgraduate administrators, and work to streamline processes, improving efficiency and effectiveness of the courses and the admin team.
The post holder will also be required to provide comprehensive, administrative and management support to ensure the efficient delivery and smooth running of Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes, specifically the MRes in Clinical Research and the BSc in Gastroenterology & Hepatology. They will be required to establish good working relationships and work closely with the course teams and academic staff associated with these programmes and with administrative staff within the Departments. In addition to other staff across the Faculty of Medicine (FoM), College central services (including the Faculty Education Office for both UG&PG), and with external academics including external lecturers, external examiners, clinical staff and project supervisors. The post holder will be a key point of contact for enquiries from students and staff, working independently to resolve problems as required, reporting to the course teams and Education Manager on progress and outcomes.

Essential requirements
Applicants must demonstrate as part of their application, how they meet the essential criteria of the post as specified in the Person Specification. Essentially they should be educated to degree level or equivalent, have experience in a similar role in the HE Sector, as well as experience of supervising staff.
Candidates are expected to demonstrate their ability to manage workload through effective prioritization and good organisational skills. Aswell as planning and progressing work activities within general guidelines, using initiative and judgment, be self-motivated, resourceful and have a customer-focused approach to their work.
This is a fast paced and demanding role and applicants will need to demonstrate their ability to confidently and effectively oversee multiple responsibilities.
